BOOKS
Going to School in Black and White: A Dual Memoir of Desegregation, co-authored with LaHoma Smith Romocki, in 2017, will be re-launched with a new introduction and discussion guide early this fall.
The launch of her new book, Ancestral Landscapes: Searching for my place in the world, is scheduled for late this summer. Stay tuned for further details!
Photographs
were integral to Cindy’s work on her new book, Ancestral Landscapes, which she thinks of a bigger project of combining words and images. Her work as an image-maker began decades before, however. She shares older and newer works here, some of them still mostly notional.
About
When not taking pictures or writing, she practices yoga, hikes in the woods, and volunteers at the nearby Farm at Penny Lane and with Orange County Justice United.
